Additional Info
This pnd contains mplayer2 and smplayer2. mplayer2 is a fork of the general purpose video player mplayer with some additional development, and smplayer2 is a nice gui frontend for mplayer2.

This build is based on the latest code from git for the respective projects. I added the following:

- omapfb video output driver from openpandora git plus a couple additional bugfixes/hacks
- Latest development versions of libdvdread and libdvdnav - (fixes issues with playing some copy protected dvds)
- Small customizations to default smplayer2 config
- Made omapfb default video out driver
- Disabled audio equalization (used too much cpu)

UPDATE:
- Updated to SMPlayer2 release v0.8.0
- Built against latest development mplayer2, libav, and libass code.
- Fixed issue with libdvdcss library not loading
- Live555 support was dropped

v0.0.6.1
@Midi: the video probably requires too much processing power (which other mobile systems usually compensate by hardware acceleration that currently isn't available on the Pandora).

v0.0.6.1
Keeps freezing when I try to play videos. The interface and the sound both keep working, but the video itself freezes.

File-type associations would be nice.

Would it be possible for you to include smtube with smplayer assigned as video-player in this pnd?

v0.0.5.1
pder, when you say in the discussion thread that you rebuilt against newer upstream, could you at least tell us what versions 0.4.1 and 0.5.1 were built against so we can puzzle out out our own changelogs if need be?
