A few updates (October 2012):
Fixed version number (thanks Ivanovic).
Set 'q' as shortkey to quit.
Disabled Chinese book site by default (can be reenabled in the options, but the site times out).
Support for Japanese (thanks Ekianjo). The Japanese encoding can be selected for a book, and the Japanese font VL Gothic must be set in the options (see documentation).

Nice book reader! Only one feature is missing: full-screen reading (in which the toolbar also goes away). The Pandora screen is small enough already, no need to waste extra screen area on taskbars and toolbars. 4/5 until there is full-screen. (also: shoulder buttons to zoom in/out would be nice)

Ekianjo, thanks for testing! Japanese support does not work automatically, you need to go to Preferences->Styles->Family and select the font VL Gothic. Let me know if that works.

Hey First, it seems like Japanese support does not work (sorry for the delay but I only got my Pandora back recently). I checked with several files and it just displays character codes but not the real characters - can you check again if something is not wrong ?
