Hero of Allacrost is a single player 2D role-playing game inspired by classic console RPGs. In Hero of Allacrost, the player will explore rich environments, solve challenging dungeon puzzles, and fight strategic battles in an active-time system. The game is distributed at no charge as open-source software and is available across several platforms including Windows, OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD.
Valyria Tear share a lot of code and data with this game (Valyria is based on Allacrost), so you will find similar and gameplay and graphics.
Story is completly different.
There are still some bugs in the gameplay I think, so expect some update...

I would also like to add that the control was spot on and the graphics were crisp,clear and colorful. This has a nice intro and production too. If the save issue could be remedied then I would rate a grade higher. I know the hit detection cannot be changed.

I love the music/audio it is top notch. I could not save though. Not that this is your doing but I wish when there was turn based battle that the combatants would get closer to each other when attacking with a weapon. They are so distant but again that is how the game was programed I reckon. 3+/5
