This update enables the X server to use panning in virtual resolutions. For instance, you may set your desktop resolution to 1024x768, and the physical screen will display a 800x480 rectangle of that virtual screen. When you move the pointer over the physical screen's border, the view will automatically scroll ("pan") in that direction, revealing a different region of your virtual screen.
Known bugs
- Currently the XV driver does not support panning. Video players using XV for output will not work correctly.
- Touchscreen driver is not aware of panning. As you scroll from top-left corner of your virtual screen, an offset will appear in touchscreen coordinates.
Release 1.0.1 fixes a bug in the scripts preventing resolutions other than 800x600 from being activated.
