Description:
Freenet is free software which lets you anonymously share files, browse and publish "freesites" (web sites accessible only through Freenet) and chat on forums, without fear of censorship. Freenet is decentralised to make it less vulnerable to attack, and if used in "darknet" mode, where users only connect to their friends, is very difficult to detect.

Additional Info
System requirements:
- 200 MB of free RAM (so far only rebirth/GHz Pandoras are confirmed to work)
- 300-500 MB of disk space (EXT filesystem recommended, untested on FAT32)
- Java PND installed (make sure you pick Oracle version, won't work otherwise)

This is a beta release. Wrapper has been intentionally disabled, because automatic updates will most likely break things. Native libraries libjbigi (big integer support) and NativeThreads (thread scheduling priorities) have been added.

When the PND is run, Freenet node URL (128.0.0.1:8888) is copied to the clipboard. Open this URL in your browser of choice to configure your node and use the Freenet.

Please be patient: startup takes several minutes and shutdown takes about a minute. Don't close the console right after pressing CTRL+C, wait for a shutdown message. Closing the Freenet console without a clean shutdown may corrupt the appdata/freenet contents. If Freenet seizes to work, try removing appdata/freenet folder and rebooting.

Please report if freenet works on your system, especially if you have a classic pandora and/or FAT32 formatted memory card. The forum thread where issues are discussed is here:
