@onpon4 : I have to say I'm using this as a notepad more than anything else (spoiling most of gedit features I know). browsing to the mount-point /media//path/to/file.cpp doesnt work ? it should.

I love gedit, it's what I use for all my code editing on the Pandora. One little issue: it isn't able to open files from external USB drives (apparently it tries to use a GNOME mount command which is unavailable); any chance you could fix that?
