GemRB is created by the GemRB team, see www.gemrb.org. GemRB (Game engine made with pre-Rendered Background) is a portable open-source implementation of Bioware's Infinity Engine. It was written to support pseudo-3D role playing games based on the Dungeons/Dragons ruleset (Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series, Planescape: Torment).

Y0! Version GemRB-0.8.6 is out, and it promises more audio, especially in bg1 and pst. Could you please create an updated build? I could build it myself too, but I would like to know if you've made any source code fixes that I should include first =)

It would be possible to update to 0.8.2? I have packaged it, without SDL scaling this time, and so far BG1 and BG2 works without problems.
