Another thought, rather than cutting off comments if they're too long, can you just make it so that it doesn't let you type comments that are too long in the first place?

Do you think you could disable the regular use of the shoulder buttons in the comments page when logged in? I like to use L as shift, and I can't when posting comments from PNDManager.

B-ZaR, Cloudef PNDManager is amazing cant wait untill its the default pnd application manager, also I hope the game you are working on is amazing too!!
