Description:
Pogo plays your music. Nothing else. It is both fast and easy-to-use. The clear interface uses the screen real-estate very efficiently. Other features include: Fast search on the harddrive and in the playlist, smart album grouping, cover display, desktop notifications and no music library. Pogo is a fork of Decibel Audio Player and supports most common audio formats. It is written in Python and uses GTK+ and gstreamer.

Additional Info
30/09/12: updated to include libraries for flac playback.
12/11/12: hopefully fixed for fat32 sd cards. If you were using this before and have lost your preferences, copy pandora/appdata/pogo/.config/pogo/* to pandora/appdata/pogo80/home/.config/pogo/

Tested with m4a, mp3, ogg and flac.

As pointed out below, this doesn't do much that Audacious doesn't do better.

Mostly, I built Pogo because I was testing the "C/C++/Py Development Tools" pnd. That pnd documents building Pogo in its readme, so this upload should maybe be seen more as a demonstration of what the completed version looks like for anyone trying out native Python development, than as a super-awesome music player.

The problem is that this player does not play FLAC apparently, and therefore that's a key feature missing for me to adopt this... any plans for FLACsupport in the future?

@ssokolow: I hadn't tried Audacious before to be honest: you're right - it's very good (better than Pogo).

Out of curiosity, why would one choose this over Audacious Media Player? My first impression from the screenshot and description is that Audacious does it all better in every way except for Pogo being hackable in Python.
