Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.
It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go.

Additional Info
Here is Stellarium, an OpenSource Planetarium software.

This Build 01 use an old engine, v0.10, that uses Qt4.

I have a build 02 that include the latest version, using Qt5.4, but I have some problem on CC model. I have to check on a Rebirth the status (but it runs well on my Gigahertz).

Meanwhile, enjoy this port.

I know some dialogs are a bit to high, I haven't worked on that for now.

@nobgu: not easilly no. It's Qt5, and using GLESv2, I have started some experiments but not finished them yet.

Another wonderful dawn with Venus, the moon, and Jupiter like pearls on a string. Needed Stellarium to verify, noticed that it needs an X compatible SGX driver version. Not a real problem, but could it be changed to use the frame
