Additional Info
This is macopix port with "fixed position" bug fixed and some added features like animation control for socket messages.

--anim
--anim-loop

If you bother with socket messages, then you might find these useful.
(eg. make mascot dance while you are listening to music with musicplayer)

When creating own mascots or using custom made from internet, make sure the archive file has root folder with same name as the archive.

Original author's website seems to have the tutorial only in Japanese, so you might want to refer this one :
http://dishrag.deviantart.com/art/MaCoPiX-mascot-tutorial-107019529 (Credit goes to the deviantart user)

If you want to use your macopix as a system notifier, then there is this little daemon I forked :
https://github.com/Cloudef/cow-notify
( it's daemon so no PND's )

You could use it with notify file such as :
pnd_run.sh -p /path/to/macopix.pnd -e macopix.bin -a "--message ' [body]' --message-expire [expire] "

Note that macopix needs to be started with --sockmsg option.
Might want to wrap some autostart script for that.

v1.7.5.5
It would appear that this is very broken on 1.71. I tried compiling it myself but it still won't work.

Was looking the reason for hangs in wrong place, seems like how it handles balloons was the cause. I just hope I don't need to touch at it again :)
