The cache seems to be flushed and reloaded as the zoom level changes, however. Having the option to dedicate a larger cache that would prefetch of a predetermined range of zoom levels could make zooming in and out of some PDFs much better.

Hmm... well prefetch doesn't help with the first page, but certainly helps with each page after that. I have it set to three. My unit is quick enough to load the next few pages as I view the first, so each page after the first is seamless. The update sped things up a bunch as well.

The prefetch option doesn't seem to help here. My 20MB 600 page printer manual (stored locally) takes around 90 seconds before the first page is displayed. How should it be configured?

Nixot, have you played around with the prefetch settings at all? It works really well for me.

Very nice reader indeed. but some PDFs seem to take obscene amounts of time to load. A few PDFs I have on my pandora, slides can take upwards of 20 seconds to appear, while loading in a split-second on xpdf. shame, since this is a really nice application.
