Additional Info
Zbarcam is pretty straightforward to use. Plug your webcam, start the PND and film the code. Once the code is recognized, it will be copied to the clipboard.

Tips and tricks:

- Before you start scanning, take a moment to adjust your webcam. Most webcams allow you to focus by screwing the lens in and out. Place your webcam approx 20 cm from the target (computer screen, printed text) and adjust the focus to get a sharp view.

- If you wish to abort the operation, press Q before disconnecting the webcam. Removing the webcam while in use may hang the driver, and you will have to reboot in order to use it again.

Changelog:

- Reduced PND size
1.5.1
This is a security update. By default, the app won't leave any data in the appdata (or somewhere else), so that QR codes can be safely used to transfer access codes, passwords and keys between Pandora and other devices.

The users in need of batch processing and logging features must create the directory called "log" inside appdata/zbarcam. If this directory is present, each successfully converted data entry is logged there.

If a QR code contains a VCARD data, it only copies the BEGIN VCARD: part, and ignores the rest. I think this is the fault of xclip.

Great port. QR code detection is very good. However, barcode is not. I really needs lots of light and a flat surface (rounded peanutbutter barcode does not scan, it does, but man... takes a looong time to get it right). It allows for a little angle at least. You need a good cam with this...

Does your webcam have adjustable focus? Most cheap webcam have the focus set to 2-3 meters away. For scanning, you will want to readjust it to have a sharp image at 10-20 cm.

I have a 1MP webcam which reads most QR codes. I think each bar should be at least 2 pixels thick and each dot in the QR code should measure at least 3x3 pixels for a reliable recognition. So your cam shoud allow up to 100x100 dots QR

At least, I thought it was fixed. It's back to refusing to read barcodes again. And it wouldn't read a QR code either. Maybe it's my camera? Is 640x480 enough?
